K-K installs temporary wall at Sainsbury's Malton store
Soundmaster panels allow major extension work to proceed
Kwik-Klik has installed a tempororary wall made from its Soundmaster system at Sainsbury's Malton store near York.
The wall consists of 150 linear metres of Soundmaster panels and is up to 6.6 metres in height at the highest point.
The panels create both an internal and an external facing wall which will reduce the sound from the construction site and keep out the weather.
Kwik-Klik is working alongside Bowmer & Kirkland on the project which involved removing ceiling panels to create a temporary wall in between the existing store and the extension construction site.
At the end of the project, the wall will be completely removed and the store will greatly increase its floor area with a seamless extension.
K-K MD Tony Doherty said "One of the big advantages of Soundmaster is that it has a clean white face which looks good when facing customers in the store. It tends to go unnoticed, so customers are unaware of the building work and the store retains a 'business as usual' feel.
"It is also tough and durable, so the external face can cope with the elements and suppress the noise generated on site."
