K-K busy at Terminal 1, Manchester Airport
K-K hoardings are re-located as part of works programme
Members of the Kwik-Klik team have been frequent visitors to Manchester Airport since the Terminal 1 project began in January 2008.
As the photograph above shows, the huge work area is surrounded by the K-K Complete system and incorporates fire barrier film which reaches 10.5 metres high
in places. A total of 140 linear metres of hoarding is currently being used.
Kwik-Klik is working in partnership with ISG on the 14-month Terminal 1 project.
The programme is now 11 months in and the temporary hoardings have already been re-configured and re-located several times.
When extending the work area, K-K is required to install an 'outer' hoarding first, before it is safe to dismantle and re-use the 'inner' hoarding.
"We have had to be very responsive to the needs of ISG and the airport, throughout the programme," says K-K MD, Tony Doherty. "Passenger safety is paramount and we have created new walkways and fire-rated barriers to channel passengers safely through the airport while work carries on."
Kwik-Klik is also providing temporary hoardings for smaller projects within other terminals at Manchester Airport. We are working with Hurst and Priceless Interiors on separate build and refurb projects.
