K-K helps to protect Disney magic in Gateshead
Kwik-Klik systems are in place at Gateshead MetroCentre as the Disney store expands
Kwik-Klik has installed its Soundmaster fire barrier hoarding system in the MetroCentre Gateshead as the Disney store expands.
As the photograph shows, the hoarding has the appearance of a house and has been overlaid with official graphics to ensure that none of the Disney magic is lost during the refurbishment project.
Strict fire regulations at the MetroCentre meant that it was necessary to disconnect fire and sprinkler systems while the hoarding was being installed by the Kwik-Klik team.
After consulting with the Centre Manager and Hurst contractors, the Kwik-Klik team designed and assembled a 1 hour fire barrier compartment around the work area, complete with smoke seals.
Tony Doherty, K-K's MD is delighted with the project. "It highlights many of the things which make Kwik-Klik unique," says Tony."It shows that we can respond to the bespoke needs of the customer and comply with the fire regulations within any given environment - be it an airport, and underground station or a shopping centre."
"Disney is also the latest in a long line of leading retailers who we are working with on a regular basis. When you have a proven product that provides a hiqh quality finish, the big brands are always happy to work with you."
