Bespoke dust screen partition for biomass power plant

Kwik-Klik designed and installed a bespoke sealed partition wall in a huge biomass power plant in Sittingbourne, Kent.

The Ridham power station required a permanent dust screen to be fitted above four large conveyor belts that carry waste into the plant.

100mm Soundmaster PIR panels were cut to size and angled between the floor and ceiling to create a chamber above the conveyors. Special flashings were made to establish airtight seals around all of the joins and a built-in door was also provided to allow plant personnel access to the conveyors.

"An angled rather than a vertical partition was the most effective way to achieve a sealed environment" said Jason Rayner, Manager of Kwik-Klik's Construction Division. "We designed a new flashing solution to achieve the required airtight seal around the partition."
