Living Hoarding 'greening' London // Case Study

An ivy-clad living hoarding is installed at Guy's Hospital

Working with Treebox, Laing O'Rourke and the Estates Department at Guy's Hospital, Kwik-Klik has installed its first 'Living Hoarding' in central London.

The 100% recycled PVC Ultraspan hoarding is covered by living ivy which will continue to grow throughout the project. Water trays are positioned behind the hoarding to ensurethat the roots have access to water during dry periods and the tendrils of the ivy are woven through a mesh frame which sits over the hoarding panels.

Ivy grows steadily in sunlight and shade and requires minimal maintenance. The ivy-clad hoardings soften the appearance of the construction site and Living Hoardings will be 'greening' London in the summer of 2013. We also expect them appearing in several other cities very soon.
