A high security hoarding for a major airport re-development

Over 1.5 linear kilometres of hoarding panels were required to establish a secure perimeter around the construction site of the new Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport.

Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) was keen to use eco-friendly construction materials and we used our Ultraspan panels which are made from 100% recycled PVC. The hoarding was supported by a robust, high security tubular steel configuration anchored to large concrete blocks.

The hoarding provided safe pedestrian and road access to the airport during a major programme which involved laying new roads as well as building the spectacular new terminal. The main contractor was MACE (Allandale Logistics).

On completion of the project the hoardings were dismantled and transported to Salford where they are currently providing the site perimeter for the new ITV Granada Studios’ MediaCity development. This is also a MACE project and it has already received an award for sustainability performance.

Kwik-Klik Complete hoardings were also used in passenger areas within Terminal 1 as part of a Laing O'Rourke project.
